Just Christmas and Birthday Cards Sketch Challenge #39

This week's sketch over at Just Christmas and Birthday Cards is by Amanda. I must admit to being really glad that they are posting their challenges fortnightly for July and August - otherwise I certainly wouldn't have made the deadline!

I got the idea of using the tree from Thoughts & Prayers on a Christmas card from Paula over at Precioso Designs. I haven't followed the sketch exactly but I'm pleased with the final card I ended up with, it's not traditional but I think that's one reason I like it.

The tree has been embossed with white EP and the DPs are from Ski Slope - appearing in our Spring Mini from August 1st! The other images are from Winter Post.

I was checking out how many Christmas cards I have made already thanx to fabulous challenges like this one - I'm really happy to know I've made a GREAT start and hope I'll actually be organised this year - a first for me - LOL.

xXx

Drop dead gorgeous again! Wow the white embossed tree on the pink is so striking. My embossing always ends up in a mess, how did you do it without all the sprinkles of embossing everywhere? Love that little trinket in the corner too, what a lovely finishing touch. Just gorgeous! Hugs, Dena

I love your idea of embossing straight on to patterned paper. Such a pretty card. As always I'll look forward to seeing it IRL!!!

Yummy! I LOVE the way you used the tree for this card... and embossing was definitely the way to go. And I love the sentiment placed in HPH. Bravisimo!

I'm jealous. I haven't done a single Christmas card. I seem to always run out of time and buy mine.

Hugs dear girl!
